Karl B. Manrodt, Ph.D

Marketing and Logistics
Georgia Southern University

A renown logistics expert, Dr. Karl Manrodt is a member of DC Velocity magazine’s editorial advisory board and a past program chair for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (formerly CLM). His research in conjunction with these organizations are some of the most authoritative reports in the supply chain field.

Dr. Manrodt’s research has appeared in such leading academic and practitioner journals as the Transportation Journal, the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Materials Management, and the Journal of Business Logistics. His books Include Keeping Score: Measuring the Business Value of Logistics in the Supply Chain (1999) and Customer Responsive Management: The Flexible Advantage (1992).

Kate Vitasek

Kate Vitasek is a thought leader in the Supply Chain Management and the Founder/Managing Partner of Supply Chain Visions, a consulting practice that specializes in supply chain strategy and education. She is a well-recognized authority on performance management and metrics implementation and was recognized as a “Rainmaker” by DC Velocity Magazine for her efforts in helping to build the logistics and supply chain profession.

Ms. Vitasek has given over 100 speeches at industry groups and universities on the topic of Supply Chain Management and Performance Management. Ms. Vitasek graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with an MBA in logistics. She also holds a B.S in Marketing.

Adrian Thomas
President & CEO

Thomas, former CEO of PEAK Technologies, an international automated data collection (ADC) hardware and software provider, provides leadership for ICS' day-to-day business. He has more than 16 years of supply chain technology experience, including five years as PEAK Technologies' CEO preceded by three years as COO of PEAK's European operations.

Prior to PEAK, Thomas served as one of two Executive Board members of ICS International AG., in Frankfurt, Germany. ICS International AG had more than 200 employees and was a leading European Systems Integrator of bar code data collection solutions.

Jim Dempsey
Southeast Channel Manager
Psion Teklogix

For more than 15 years, Mr. Dempsey has been involved in the corporate technology marketplace consulting on strategic planning as well as tactical execution.

In his role as Channel Manager, Mr. Dempsey is responsible for leading the growth and development of the Psion Teklogix partner community within the Southeastern United States.

In this role, Mr. Dempsey is focused on creating new opportunities and expanding the current role of Psion Teklogix products within the partner community’s key vertical markets focusing on WMS and mobile technologies.

John Manton
Vice President
ICS, Inc

Utilizing business experiences over the past 42 years in the food, banking, retail, financial, oil processing, transportation, JIT supply chain, captive warehousing and third party logistics industries, John is the driving force behind Logimax successes since its introduction in 1997. John now serves as the Vice President of Logimax and oversees all aspects of the product.

John worked for a variety of multinational corporations in the UK and Bahamas before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1982 and becoming one of the founding partners of ICS, the parent company of Logimax.

Prior to starting the development of Logimax, he provided technical sales and implementation support for JD Edwards and Great Plains ERP software packages, and led development teams in providing successful custom solutions for the Automotive JIT, Natural Foods Distribution and Convenience Store industries and most significantly for Public Warehouses.

John is married with two daughters and four grandkids.


Tom Carlile
Product Development Manager
ICS, Inc

Tom joined ICS in 1989 specializing in J.D. Edwards Distribution for the IBM midrange systems and became actively involved in the 3rd Party Logistics industry supporting multiple customers throughout Florida.   This experience teamed him up with John Manton to develop a new state of the art product - Logimax - for ICS to handle the growing needs of the 3rd Party Logistics industry.
